1. What is a cookie?

A cookie is a small text file a website saves on your device. They’re used to remember preferences, keep you signed in, and measure traffic. They’re regulated in the UK under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR) and the UK GDPR.

2. Cookies we use

Strictly necessary (no consent required)

  • __sdwl_session — anti-CSRF / form security. Session-only.
  • __cf_bm — Cloudflare bot management. 30 minutes.

Analytics (consent required — opt-in via the banner)

  • _ga, _ga_XXXX — Google Analytics 4. 14 months. Anonymised IPs, no cross-site tracking.

Marketing (consent required — currently none)

We don’t use marketing cookies, retargeting pixels, or social media tracking on this site.

3. How to control cookies

You can withdraw consent at any time by clearing the cookies for this domain in your browser. We’ll show the consent banner again on your next visit.

Most browsers also let you block all cookies, block third-party cookies, or delete cookies on close. Instructions: aboutcookies.org.

4. Do Not Track

We respect the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal. If your browser sends GPC, we treat it as a withdrawal of analytics consent.

5. Changes

We update this page when our cookie set changes. Material changes flagged at the top for at least 30 days.
